I see it in your eyes
and I know it sounds crazy
let’s just go
we can outrun it

I think

Let us try
I still have youth
have energy
I want to run
but I won’t leave you
so come
come now
this night
with me

It will fall from my bones
it will slip from my chest
it will cower and squirm and be gone
black oil in the gutter

Let us go
let us try
we can run toward the sun
so the day never ends
I see it in your eyes
I know it sounds crazy
let’s just go
